Pomegranates make me look like I've gone through a murderous rage.

One of my favorite things about living in Southern California is the abundance of fruit that I can grow outside, including these pomegranates.

One of my least favorite things is shucking this juice corn. It takes so long. I think I'm doing it wrong and it's a bloody mess.

I was accidentally growing these Cucamelons or Mexican sour cucumbers. I thought they were cucumbers, but they look like little watermelons and they taste like sour cucumbers. So easy to grow in SoCal

I decided to do the classic fridge pickling with these guys:

Boil:
White Vinegar
salt
sugar

Add to Jar:
dill
Rosemary
mustard seed
all spice
peppercorns
garlic clove

pour in, seal, leave until room temp, put in refrigerator and leave alone for at least three days

- I think I get what this is trying to say
- um, ok sure, why is this on a shirt?

These are the ones I found in Turkey, with a few from Amsterdam at the end mainly for the Disney copyright infringement.

This is what I am on the lookout for, and find funny and amusing when I wander around shopping clothing districts, as these are meant for locals.

Sometimes it is just to have English on a shirt like having Chinese lettering as tattoos that may or may not say what you want it to say. It's international humor.

With the windmill, this is the most Dutch of all Holland things in the Netherlands.

We were told that there are less dogs in Istanbul now than there was a year ago because the city "took them to a shelter" so cats remain supreme.
They even have cat food dispensers for people that want to feed the strays and the only bulk cat food section I've ever seen, outside of the Egyptian market.

We had so many good boys and girls say hi to us, mainly when eating, but sometimes just to say hi. If a cat is sleeping on a chair, you leave it be.

Along the Turquoise Coast/Turkish Riviera is Cesme and Alaçati. A historic region with Ottoman Greek architecture, narrow streets, and it's all very pretty. It's also the nightlife part of the area, and us olds called it by 11pm.

The streets are filled with the friendliest big dogs and cats. We were lucky enough to be there on a when they have the biggest farmers market and clothing bazaar in the region every Saturday. You know how I love fruit. It was my dream.
Joel was in linen stripe pants heaven (though we think they gave him the gringo price of $9). Our hotel breakfast at @gaia_hotels was such a delight.

Also, they just let you sit on the artifacts, because really, it's all just rocks.

The Ottoman Empire lasted over 600 years. The Sultan's home was Topkapi Palace, and whichever Sultan who added a Fruit Room is my favorite (watch it be the insanely cruel one).

We explored the Egyptian (Spice) Market, a bulk cat food market, saw the inside of the Blue Mosque and had @dangervillage join us for her birthday.

We also went to the Oldest Turkish Delight store (1777) and the oldest Hammam (1495), there is so much to do in this ancient ass city.

The last few days of Istanbul have been a (Turkish) delight.

We also knocked out the Basilica Cisterns and Hagia Sophia which is unde just enough the scaffolding to get in your way.

Day 2 was a 23,000 step/8 mile walking day
